Introducing: Artist Spotlight

Today, I’m proud to share amazing news! Next Tuesday, I officially launch a new, weekly series on MarriedToAnArtist.ca. It’s called Artist Spotlight.

When I launched my weekly Saturday Morning Stories, they were aimed at pulling back the curtain on what it’s like to be married to an artist. At least, married to my beautiful artist.

Now, other artists — who I’m not married to — are generously giving me their time and letting me dive into their thoughts to help me share more about them, their quirks, and what drives their passion for art.

Borrowing from my past as a newspaper reporter and editor, I’ll dive into a dozen or so questions with an artist every Tuesday. Some questions will be straight-to-the-point and others will be, um, let’s say, unorthodox.

By the end of each Artist Spotlight, I hope you’ve learned something new about each artist and might be interested in looking more into them and their art.

When you’re married to an artist you learn quickly that the art community is a tight-knit collection of generous and kind folks. They are also an eclectic bunch. If you don’t already know this, you will come to learn it through Artist Spotlight.

The new series will launch on Tuesday, Jan. 25 with my artist, Meghan MacMillan, up first (bless her heart for being the guinea pig).

And scheduled for the weeks following will be these amazingly talented artists:

Plus, more talented and generous artists are lined up for March and April. Stay tuned to learn who else will be featured.

In the mean time, spread the news about this new Artist Spotlight and the amazing artists who will be the first to be featured. They, and I, would appreciate the word of mouth keyboard support!

This sounds great for all artists to share and enjoy. We all learn so much from each other.
